Summer heat will arrive soon and you’ll want some cold treats to cool down with. Homemade Popsicle’s are one of the better treats to make because they can be healthy, fun for kids, or like some of these recommendations filled with booze.
You can make some for an upcoming BBQ, or just because you feel like it. These Popsicle’s are perfect for any event. For more easy tips for summer time events check out my post The Lazy Hostess Guide to Throwing an Epic 4th of July Party.
Break out the popsicle makers and whip up some of these tasty Popsicles.
Honey Chamomile Popsicle
I love how easy these popsicles are to make. Plus it makes for an awesome treat at the end of the night to help cool off and calm down. During the warmer months my allergies act up pretty bad making my throat itch, these help sooth my throat. You can use fresh chamomile to make these or tea bags. While technically kid friendly (ages 2 and up because of the honey) they are all adult. You can use fresh chamomile to make these or tea bags.
Tropical Tequila Sunrise Popsicle
Delicious boozy popsicles. Yes, there is tequila in these which makes them all adult. However, if you leave the tequila out, they are kid friendly. Especially if your munchkin loves pineapple. Make sure you use different color sticks or somehow mark them if you are making both adult version and kid version.
If you haven’t turned your favorite smoothie into a popsicle yet you are really missing out on this. What better way to cool off and get a healthy treat it. Completely kid friendly throw a handful of spinach or kale in your smoothie to get your no veggie eating kid to eat veggies. The kids will love it and you don’t ruin your summer diet.
Classic Fruit Popsicles
These 100 calorie or less popsicles are an awesome healthy alternative to the store bought kind. All natural ingredients and awesome tips to make them more creamy in texture. Great for kids and adults you can mix up flavors or stick with one. These are an awesome classic recipe that is easy to modify.
Cake Batter Popsicles
If you have a summer birthday like I do this is a great way to get the taste of cake in a cool treat. While not your traditional popsicle because it’s primary ingredient is ice cream it’s absolutely delicious. I’m going to try this mixture in between cookies to make a cookie ice cream sandwich too. Kid friendly, not healthy, but totally awesome!.
Cookies and Cream Popsicles
Three ingredients for a creamy awesome cool treat. These cookie and cream popsicles are made with coconut milk or coconut cream which gives the popsicles a creamy texture. Absolutely kid friendly and delicious they are a fantastic dessert for any event.
Blueberry Mojito Popsicles
Get ready for an awesome adult popsicle! Not kid friendly and I think even without the alcohol kids would not like the minty flavor. This is a fantastic treat for girls night or even date night with the hubby.
Raspberry Lemon Yogurt Popsicles
I love mixing berries with lemon flavors so these pops are a favorite. They swirl is so pretty and they are kid friendly if your kid likes lemons. Otherwise they are an awesome creamy dessert the parents will love.
Coconut Lime Popsicles
If you’re looking for a great dessert after Taco Tuesday these are absolutely the best. Lime goes really well with mexican food in general. The sweet and creamy coconut mixed with lime is a great flavor to have for dessert after fajitas, burritos, or tacos. The recipe is kid friendly, but adding a light rum to your mixture could easily make these an awesome adult popsicle.
Mint Chocolate Chip Popsicles
I love mint chocolate chip, Rob isn’t so much of a fan. This means when I make these they are all mine. They are delicious and a fantastic treat any time. They are kid friendly too, so if you feel like sharing I’m sure your kids will love them. My favorite part of the popsicles is just how creamy they are.
Iced Mocha Coffee Popsicles
I never need an excuse to eat or drink anything coffee flavored. Coffee is life. Coming across these wonderful creations was absolutely awesome. I don’t even feel bad eating these as breakfast with my coffee on hot days. Not even gonna lie.
