When we started to minimize and organize everything in our life I knew I would need to be creative. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money in getting organized. I would have to use things I already owned to get organized. This is […]
Have you ever noticed that when fall hits you start massively craving comfort foods? It happens to me every year. However, with the new busy fall schedule comfort food usually means ordering a pizza or getting Five Guys. To help save money while still getting […]
I love Paris themed decor. As a teen it was cute, as a 30 year old it can feel a bit young. I decided to try to put together an Paris themed bedroom with a grown up feel.
The key to having a successful Paris themed room is all about colors choices and accent pieces. If you have too many crystal pieces or too many Eiffel Towers your room suddenly starts to feel less grown up and more like a teenagers room.

So instead use one large piece of art like the one below.
I wanted something large to put over a bed or on a long wall in a bedroom. Having a large piece of artwork to draw the eye will set the tone for the rest of the room. The modern grey-scale will make the room feel more grown up.
To frame the bed and the artwork use hanging pendant lamps like the ones below.
The black frame with the crystals will work perfectly in your grown up Paris themed bedroom. Hang them on either side of the bed above the end tables below.
Place vases with artificial flowers on the bottom shelf and the framing of the bed is complete. The crystal knob matches with the pendant lamps and the crystal knobs on the vanity placed in a corner of the room.
The carving on the mirror and the stool are similar to the carving on the nightstands. Again, the crystal knobs tie the room together with a rich Paris feel. Continue that feel by placing an Ottoman at the foot of your bed.
You can get the ottoman in black or white and the tufted feel with the crystal buttons is the finishing touch to tie your entire room together.
Finally for the bedding I went with a blush pink duvet cover and shams. Pair this with white or pale gray sheets to tie the bed in with the rest of the room. The pink adds that splash of color the room desperately needs.
Paris Themed Bedroom Bedding
Get some steel purple and gray throw pillows to complete your bedding. Stay away from adding any additional Eiffel Tower accents as they may pull from the artwork.
To break up the pink I chose an ivory faux fur throw to be tossed carelessly on the foot of the bed or on the ottoman.
Remember the goal is for a grown up Paris themed bedroom. If you over do the paris references you will end up with a teenagers room. Go with a light grey paint on the walls and sheers in the same color or white for a soft touch. If they have a slight sheen to them it’s even better.
Feel free to go with different colors as well. Grey’s, steel purples, blush pinks, beiges and off whites all work very well in a Paris themed bedroom.
I’m curious would you like to make a themed bedroom more adult like? Leave a comment below and I might do just that. Follow me on Pinterest and pin this to your favorite decor boards.

I’m back again with another update to freezer cooking. Last week I touched a bit on how my kitchen stays cleaner due to freezer cooking. This week I’m going in depth on how I keep a clean kitchen now that I’m freezer cooking plus how freezer cooking helped to keep my dirty dishes at a minimum.
It didn’t take long after becoming a full time work at home mom for me to realize I needed to manage my time better. It’s easy to spend an entire day cleaning and not get any work done. It’s also just as easy to spend an entire day at your computer screen and not do anything around the house.
Time management is an extremely important skill when managing business and home. I am one busy momma with an extremely active and clingy 2 and a half year old son. Plus, I run, write, design and market this blog and an Etsy shop. I am […]
